Account deletion is permanent. Deleting your Oja account removes your profile, store, products, and personal data from useoja.com. It cannot be undone. If you only want some of your data removed, use the data-only deletion option further down this page.
What Gets Deleted
- Your Oja account and login credentials
- Personal information: name, email, phone number, and profile photo
- Merchant store details, product listings, and inventory data
- Stored payment and payout method references
- Order history visible to you in the app
- Marketing preferences and notification settings
- Support tickets and chat history
What We May Retain
Some data must be kept for a limited period to comply with Nigerian financial regulations and legal obligations:
- Transaction records required for tax and audit purposes (up to 7 years, as required by FIRS and CAMA)
- Fraud prevention logs and security records
- Data required to resolve outstanding disputes or legal claims
Processing Timeline
We process all deletion requests within 30 days of confirmation. You will receive an email at the address on your Oja account when the deletion is complete.
Your account will be deactivated immediately upon confirmation, meaning you will not be able to sign in while the request is being processed.
Delete Your Account (and All Data)
Submit a permanent account deletion request directly to the Oja admin team. Use your registered email so we can locate and verify your account; we will send a confirmation email before processing.

Delete Specific Data (Keep Account)
Want to remove specific personal data (for example your profile photo, saved addresses, marketing preferences or chat history) without deleting your Oja account? Submit a targeted request to the admin team — we will action it within 30 days and keep your account otherwise intact. Some records may be retained as listed in What We May Retain above to comply with Nigerian financial and tax regulations.
