How do I create a store on Oja?

Accepted Answer

Download the Oja app from the App Store or Google Play (or go to app.useoja.com), tap Create your store, sign up with Google, Apple or your email, and give your store a name. Your store link, like yourstore.useoja.com, is ready straight away. Most sellers add a few products and share their link the same day.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Apprentice plan is free forever: your store link, up to 20 products, 10 recorded sales and 10 new customers a month, debts and reminders, birthday messages, payment links and quotes. Odogwu (₦4,900 a month) adds unlimited products and sales, Oja Terminal, POS in the browser and 0% Oja fees. Chairman (₦9,900 a month) adds staff, up to 5 stores, your own domain and card machine connection. Pay monthly, quarterly or yearly.

Can I use Oja without internet?

Yes. Sales you record in the app with no network are saved on your phone and sync when you are back online, so a bad connection never stops a sale.

Do I need to register my business to sell?

Accepted Answer

No. You can start selling straight away. Verifying your ID, address and CAC registration later raises your withdrawal limits. Not registered with CAC yet? You can request registration through Oja; a partner handles it (a paid service).

Can I have more than one shop or store?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Odogwu runs up to 3 branches (shops under one store link) with stock transfers between them. Chairman gives unlimited branches and up to 5 separate stores, each with its own link, products, orders and money, from one account.

I keep my records in Kippa or Zuru. Can I move them?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Open Bring your records in the app, choose Kippa, Zuru, Excel or Notebook, and add your file or a photo of a notebook page. Check the list, and Oja brings in your products, customers and who still owes you. You can undo for 24 hours. The first time you import from Kippa or Zuru, Odogwu is free for 3 months. With 100+ products or several staff, WhatsApp Support and we do it within 24 hours.

What does Oja charge?

On the free Apprentice plan, Oja takes 5% of sales made through your store. On Odogwu and Chairman, Oja takes 0%. Card payments carry the payment provider's processing fee, and Oja Terminal transfers cost ₦50 (under ₦1,000), ₦75 (₦1,000 to ₦4,999) or ₦100 (₦5,000 and above). You choose whether you or the customer pays these fees.

How do customers pay me?

Online, by card, bank transfer or USSD at checkout or through an Oja Flash payment link. In person, by cash, card on your POS machine, or transfer to your shop's own account number with Oja Terminal (Odogwu and Chairman), which confirms every transfer for you.

When do I get my money?

Accepted Answer

Online payments land in your Oja balance; you can see when new sales reach it on the Your money screen. Withdraw to your bank account at any time, approved with your PIN. Withdrawals usually arrive within minutes; some banks take up to a day.

Does Oja give me my own account number?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with Oja Terminal on Odogwu and Chairman. Customers transfer to your shop's own account number, Oja confirms the payment and sends a WhatsApp alert, so you never have to check a receipt.

Can I connect my Moniepoint or OPay POS machine?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on Chairman. Oja sends the amount to your Moniepoint or OPay card machine and records the sale when the card is paid, so you never type an amount twice.

What can I sell on Oja?

Physical goods, digital downloads, handmade items, print on demand, second hand (Tokunbo), bundles and local services.

Can products have sizes and colours?

Yes. Add variants such as size and colour, each with its own price and stock. You can also set a wholesale price for bulk buyers.

Yes, on every plan. Take a percentage off everything or chosen products, with an optional coupon code and end date.

How does stock work?

Accepted Answer

There is one stock count for your shop, POS and store link. Every sale takes items out, Restock adds them back with what you paid, and Count stock fixes any difference. Oja warns you when an item is running low.

Can I sell on WhatsApp, Instagram and TikTok?

Yes. Share your store link or an Oja Flash payment link in the chat, and mark each sale as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Jiji, Jumia or walk-in. Home shows which channel brings in the most money.

Can I answer Instagram and Facebook messages in Oja?

Yes, on Odogwu and Chairman. Connect Instagram, Facebook Messenger and TikTok, and reply to every customer from the social inbox in the app.

Can I send a quote or invoice?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Send a quote on WhatsApp and turn it into a sale when the customer says yes. Paid sales become receipts and unpaid ones can become invoices, which you can share or print.

How does delivery work?

Set the areas you deliver to and what each costs, or offer pickup; customers see the fee at checkout. The free plan includes up to 2 delivery areas, paid plans unlimited. On Chairman, book couriers through Shipbubble from the order.

Yes. Every store has a link with checkout. Odogwu adds store looks and full customisation: your colours, logo, banner and sections, with no code.
