Customer went to get more cash? Park their order in Oja POS, serve the next person in the queue, and bring the order back in one click.
It happens all day: a customer picks five items, then says "let me bring my husband" or goes to find more cash. You should not have to clear their order, or make the queue wait. Oja POS lets you park the order and pick it up again later.
Before you start
- The Odogwu or Chairman plan.
- Oja POS open in your browser.
Save the order for later
With the items in the order, click the save button at the top of the order panel (it shows Save draft when you point at it). The order is parked and the counter is clear for the next customer.
Serve the next customer
Sell as usual. The history button at the top of the POS shows how many orders are waiting.
Bring the order back
When the customer returns, click the history button. Minimized Orders lists each parked order with the customer's name, the number of items, the time and the total. Click the open button next to it, and the order is back with every item. Then complete it as usual.
Good to know
- Clear the current order before you resume a parked one. Oja asks you to, so two orders never mix.
- Parked orders are saved in the browser on that computer, so resume them on the same device.
- Type the customer's name before you park the order, so you know whose it is.
