Unlock higher limits and payouts by submitting identity and business documents tier by tier.
Before you start
Open the Oja merchant app and sign in with your store account. Make sure you have a stable internet connection. Some features (like advanced analytics) require an active subscription.
Step-by-step guide
Follow these steps in order:
- Open More and tap your KYC badge (e.g. Tier 1 · Start or Tier 2 · Continue).
- On the KYC screen, see which tier is active and what documents are required.
- Tier 1: Submit your NIN and upload the required ID file.
- Tier 2: Verify your phone via SMS or WhatsApp OTP.
- Higher tiers: Add proof of address, business registration (CAC), and other documents as prompted.
- Tap Submit and wait for review (status shows In review until approved).
- Return to KYC to see the next tier when the previous one is approved.
If something goes wrong
Try this first:
- Pull down to refresh the screen if data looks outdated.
- Sign out and sign back in if buttons do not respond.
- Update the app to the latest version from your app store.
- Take a screenshot of any error message and contact Oja support.
